So yeah. I'm really hating these gross Phonetics Assignments. 3 pages on stress, 4 pages on transcription focusing on the vowel sounds, and 7...seven FUCKING pages on aspiration and unreleased plosives. Mmmh...what bullshit. And these aren't like the pages we had before, oh no. Each set has over 1oo words each, and the aspiration has the potential to double that, since some words have the "option" of unreleasing a plosive or two. In that case, you need to write both transcriptions.

I have the straight-up transcription done. I had it done super-quick once it was given to us. But I'm not liking the stress, and want to just scream and rip the aspiration pages into shreds.

So, I am seriously thinking of taking the trip to Heidelberg, Germany this summer. That is, asuming I don't fail at life next term. I had a 92% on my midterm we did on Wednesday, so that's good. I would have gotten higher, but I made some REAL stupid mistakes, like mis-spelling a word I got right in the dictation, using "neunzig" instead of "neunzehn", writing "zur" instead of "nur"...just stupid things like that. xD

If I do go to Hiedelberg, I can apply for a full student loan, and I won't have to work into the Summer Rec Program this summer. Not only that, but I'll only need one more course to get a German minor. That's good, since I hadn't decided on a minor yet. Then NEXT summer, I could apply for the work term. What does that mean? No Summer Rec Program then either. :3

My mom's birthday is tomorrow. So I'll have to call her sometime. I don't know if that would be a good time to tell her that I plan to go to Germany though. xPP

So like, I've been semi-kinda busy alot lately and seem to have fallen behind on alot of online stuff. For the first week or so I was playing Grandia and Xenosaga, but then I had a long Phonetics assignment on IPA transcription, plenty of little quizes, labs, a really stupid assignment in Dialects, and my German midterm [which I can't seem to study for] is tomorrow morning.

I finally arranged to get my U:C box CD-thing yesterday. It's very flowery and gay. It makes me happy. It's quite big [almost twice the size of my POWER SCALE box CD-thinger] so I don't know exactly where I'm going to put it on my shelf. Right now it's on top of my Iceman live tapes. xD

I need to start buying presents for people soon. X-mas time is around the corner. So far I only know what to get anonymous_mana, since she's had it picked out for a little while. If tael87 wants something online, decide by the middle of November. eCheck clear + shipping takes time. D:

I should eat more healthy stuff. I think I've been running on empty too long. It's bad for the body.

I need to learn European geography and a bunch of German cultural information now. It's not very fun. All I've managed to do so far is to use my creativity and come up a couple of phrases to remember the countries that border Germany. xPP

On a side note: IT IS GETTING FUCKING COLD OUTSIDE. This morning there was frost on everything, and I could see my breath while walking to the bus stop. I should probably start wearing gloves soon. xP

I went to the mall today, since I was bored and needed some jeans and a new pair of shoes/sneakers. I found a couple of pairs of shoes I liked, but NOT THE ONE would fit me. Stupid stores not having past size 11. T.T

Not only that, but the jeans places didn't carry size 36 long. 34 fits yes, but I like it longer so it's baggier. They had ONE pair, but it was 32x36, which is WAY TOO FUCKING BIG around the waist. So, I got two pairs that were just 34 long, but only because Bluenotes had a buy one get one half off sale. xP

I BOUGHT YET ANOTHER FEATHER BOA. I swear, I'm addicted to the things. It's orange with some black, for All Hallow's Eve! I also picked up a crazy Japanese fantasy/action movie that is inspiring me to make icons again.

I bought one of those Happy Bunny cell phone holders too, since I can't hear my phone ring when it's in my handbag. Grrr. The other day I got a mini optical mouse for EXPANDER DRIVE MACHINE! It's even cuter than the one I have at home on my desktop!

The thing was just too fucking cute not to buy. I'm going home for a couple of hours tomorrow. Mom refuses to dye my hair orange. D:

So, I'm all settled in out in the living room, House is on, like on every other Tuesday night. Halfway through a scene, I hear the little: "do-do, do-do, do-duh do-duh duh" comming from in here. I run in and see the little house icon [a home, not the show xD] and the message: "HOME calling" appear on the cover of my phone. I open it up.

Me: "What are you doing calling during House!?"
Mom: "Oh, sorry...I forgot again."
Fonda: [from the living room] "xD That's like calling during Survivor*! -snicker-"

* - mom gets real upset when someone phones the house when she's watching Survivor.

She was just calling to check in. I said to phone back at 10:30. She said she'll phone tomorrow, but MARK wanted to ask me something right quick-like. She hands him the phone and says: "Make it quick, House is on". He was asking me questions about ZELDA again. -.-

When he couldn't answer my questions quick enough, I told him to phone tomorrow night and hung up. I'm starting to think that mom does it on purpose. -.-' So yeah, I didn't miss too much. xD

So, I got up at 6 but it was too cold in the bathroom to take a shower. I lay around in bed while waiting for it to warm up, but I must have hit the wrong button on my watch when I turned off the alarm. I was laying in bed for the longest while, and kept checking my watch, but it was always 6:something or other. By the time I realized that I had gone into the alarm-set function, it was 9:30.

I had a class at 9, and if I left right then and there without getting a shower or getting dressed, I STILL wouldn't make it to MUN for my 10:30 class. I went about my daily activites in a hurry, and made it to the student center by 12:00. xP

I got all the questions right on this Lingustics test I had this afternoon. The 3 mini-quizes together are worth 15% of our final grades, which means that so far I have oo5/1oo in that class. WHOO! Only another 45% until I pass! xDD

So, I was feeling lazy today, and decided to stick around on Route 1 after it passed the Village Mall. I got off somewhere in Cowan Heights when I thought I saw the top of Cowan Avenue. I had no clue where I was, but I just had a feeling that that road was the right road. In just a minute, I could see the part of Cowan Avenue I recognized! It only took me 5 minutes of walking downhill as opposed to 15+ from the Village, which includes some crazy uphill.

I'll be getting off there from now on. xD

So, I bought myself Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra, and Grandia III at the local EB Games. I swear, I'm always the only girl even remotely close to the store. O.o Well, I was playing Grandia III all afternoon. I think I like the Egg/Book system from Grandia II better, but I haven't played much of III to decide which of the two I like more. I don't plan to play Xenosaga until I finish Grandia III. Let's see how long THAT lasts. xDD

It's funny how in German, when the prof asks the class to say something/continue something, people VERY QUICKLY start to trail off and mumble. You can't help but laugh. It is also very difficult not to say "Papier" the French way, especially when that's what we were force fed all throughout primary/elementary/junior high [and I supose High School, but I never did French then, even though I had a 98 or something. xDD]

Mmmmmh, weekend. Sleeping in is good. :3

So, I decided to try Route 16 [the "express" route to MUN from the Village Mall] this morning. Um...BAD IDEA. It was packed. As packed than Route 1 or 3 at lunch or supper. One miss had to stand on the stairs of the exit door. xDD

Well, EVERY SINGLE TRAFFIC LIGHT WE CAME TO WAS RED. And then halfway up Prince Phillip Drive: we were hardly moving. And then, we had to get out of the way [i.e. into the incomming lanes] as an Ambulance went by. By the time we made it to the Student Center, it was 8:58. So, I had to run up the 3[?] sets of stairs, into the skyway, through the Chemistry building, through the other skyway and into the Science building, up another flight of stairs, and into froom 3058[?]. I made it there JUST in time. xD

So, I needed to put money in the bank to pay for a TMR CD from chaos_sequence. But, I forgot to take my money with me. So, when I came back here after class I had to walk ALL the way back to the Village. At the CIBC, I learned that I had -0.38$ in the bank. Wuet, go me! That's the second time I've been in the negative. So, I put the money in, and since I was ALL the way over to the mall anyway, decided to go in and look around.

Besides, I get my loan next week, and besides the 20$ I had for a bus pass, I had 24$ to spend [plus another 5$ I found when I got back here xD]. At EB Games, I was the ONLY girl in the store. I heard the 2 guys working there point it out. xD I bought a cute Hello Kitty handbag, a small black change purse, some mints, and an Iced Cap at Tim's which I drank on my walk back.

There's no German class tomorrow, so I get to sleep in an extra hour! Whooo! :3

I've been meaning to update in like...forever. I've put it off so long, that I hardly even remember what has happened. :|

Bad me? Well, German is actually pretty interesting. I don't know exactly how well I'll do, but...eh, at least the class is entertaining. And...er...I really don't remember what I've been doing. O.o I keep getting to MUN early, so I think I'm not reading the bus schedules correctly. xDD

Today Fonda picked up a wireless router [113$ O.o] so we could both use the internet at the same time, since Rogers was being an ass and when one of us wanted the use the internet, we had to phone in and get them to register the IP Address. -.-

I got my phone today as well. Aliant fell a couple of hours behind, so my phone isn't quite operational yet. That's okay, it has to recharge anyway. xD

I don't have my own living room anymore, but I'm still quite cosy. :3 My phone has that voice caller thing. I can say: "Yo, phone Mana up right quick!" and it'll phone up anonymous_mana. Well, actually I have to say: "Mana" or, whatever I've set in a loud, clear voice. [I can set the call prompt to that instead of just Mana!] Tee hee.

I took pictures of everything, but like I live in a basement, and my camera sucks ass. Needless to say: the pictures didn't come out so well. I don't have all my programs installed on this computer, so the only image editing software I have to try and clear it up with is MS Paint. Yeah, I don't think so. xD

So like, I had no internet access yesterday, because I needed to register my IP address at Roger's in order to use Fonda's internet connection. They were closed when we phoned yesterday, and figured I won't get access until Tuesday [closed today, and Monday is a holiday] but, they phoned today! Apparently Tech Support is open Sundays. :3

Well anyway, I had no problem getting in yesterday. Unpacking wasn't that fun. I did a little grocery shopping yesterday and today, but I can't really buy alot of stuff until I get my student loan. xP

Last night I didn't sleep much, because my nose is all stuffed up, making it difficult for me to breathe. Difficulty breathing = difficulty sleeping. Very uncool.

I'll take some pictures of my new room [I have a walk in closet xD] later on. And of my awesome cool phone that I'm getting activated on Tuesday. Fun stuff.

These past few days have been super cold. Yesterday it wasn't so bad though. Isn't August supose to be like, the warmest month? xP

I was cleaning my room today. Lots of stuff everywhere. I didn't get it all done, I need to do it some more tomorrow. xP

I'm not packing away my PS2/games/DVDs until Friday, because there's a good chance that sometime between now and then, I'll want to play/watch something.

If I had boarded somewhere last year, my room wouldn't be this bad. I would have already had the cleaning done. T.T

It really was a mistake staying home and doing the transfer year. I should have gone in to MUN last year, and did what Kristina did: stayed in the whole summer. I wouldn't have to put up with my family's bullshit, and wouldn't constantly be getting into arguements with my little brother.

These past few days have been especially bad. It's like everyone is tring to make my last few days before school starts as fucking miserable as it can be. I can't wait until I go to Fonda's and I can have some fucking peace for once.

What makes it worse? This little fat high-pitched arrogant asshole who was friends with my brother is staying here two nights. I thought I was finally rid of him when he moved 9 hours away last month. But no, that's too easy. When they phoned, I told mom no, because she's working and I'm going to end up watching them. I'm not fucking watching that brat AND my broter. But oh no, mom said: "well, I can't say no". Yeah you fucking can. It's easier. Takes even less effort to get out than "yes" does.

Every time I can hear them talking, a turn my music up a little louder.

On a lighter, less pissed-as-fuck off note: I've been watching Samurai Pizza Cats. The theme is so catchy. If I get a cell phone, it's TOTALLY being my ring tone. I've been wandering around the house humming the tune and singing "Sa mu rai piz za cats!" these last few days. xD

Of course I've driven before, but not in actual "around town" traffic. I've only driven outside. T.T I was a couple years late doing my permit, but not as late as mom! She never started driving until after she had me, in her mid 20s. So my slowness to actually start driving comes from HER side of the family.

Mom's arm is killing her apparently, so I had to drive over to the mall and back. I laughed alot. Over there I spent 85$ on two shirts and a vest. There was another shirt, vest, and a skirt I wanted but I wouldn't have had enough money for all of it. xP

My brother was always "OMG you're always on the computer!! Go up in your room!!11oneoneone!!eleventy" but now that I've been up in my room on EXPANDER DRIVE MACHINE, and only comming down when I need a refill on 7up, he's been asking me to "play" on my computer down here. Aaaaw, he misses me already. xDD

No, not my LJ - my new notebook! I called the C: the "EXPANDER DRIVE MACHINE" because like, I'm weird like that. I have most things set up on it now, thanks to my makeshift jump drive [i.e. my mp3 player]. Instead of taking the time to transfer over all my songs, I just ran upstairs and took as many CDs as I could without the possiblity of dropping them.

5 TMR CDs, 5 Iceman CDs, and 2 Econoline Crush CDs, as well as my "important" pictures [my HOT LIMIT background, userpics, and favorite icons] are all on it now. And of course the necessities: Firefox, SpyBot [w/Tea Timer], and WinAmp.

What does that mean? I might not be on all too much. I didn't buy a router since I don't need one this fall, and I don't want to set up our current internet on the notebook anyway.

So like, I made away with ALL my icons earlier this week. I now only have 2 of moiself. Kukuku. I haven't made any entries lately because I really haven't been doing much.

Fonda picked up my computer earlier today. Her and Shawn are comming out tomorrow, so she's bringing it out with her. That saves me a trip with Sio's whole family early in the morning. xP

I was helping Sio pick out a notebook a little while ago. She couldn't really settle on anything. She has no clue about computers, so she had me and Corey [brother] help. The only thing she knew was that she didn't want an acer, because both myself and her brother don't like them [they do tend to have more memory, but are slower]. She also wasn't ordering a Dell notebook, because I was complaining about them [they're way too heavy xP] and that she was watching something awhile ago, about a person who had a Dell notebook, and one of it's parts caused it to catch on fire or something.

After a little while of searching, the computer her brother said was alright, turned out to be MY computer. xD So now me and Sio are going to have Toshiba Satellites, and tael87 is stuck with her acer, which none of us like. xD
